Pumpkin Time

BOO!

Scary, huh?

A few weeks ago, fall got into full swing with a trip to Schaake's Pumpkin Patch with our friends Quinn and Malia from preschool. It was actually a warm day, and it was early, so we had all the time in the world to select from a huge selection of pumpkins.

Quinn, Max, and Malia on the tractor.

In the fields, getting ready to pick!

This one?
After picking, the kiddos had time to play on the playground and go through the hay bale maze. Fun times!
Max and Quinn even did the maze on their own this year. Lots of reasoning going on and working together to decide the best directions to go. It was pretty interesting to sneak behind them and hear it all.

On a trip to Wichita, Max got to carve his first pumpkin on the year with Grandpa Fuzzy - a bit of a distraction from their garage sale. :-)

Pumpkin guts - EEEWWWEEEE.

Finished product!

And here are Max's finished products from the patch. We had a little incident with the little guy. But mommy made him a mummy pumpkin. Magic.
